Catching a Leprechaun

One day after school Josh announced that we needed to set up a trap to catch a leprechaun. He told me that if we caught a leprechaun then he would give us his pot of gold. Josh decided that the pot of gold would surely be enough to buy him a beloved video game system. So he devised a plan to catch him for St. Patrick's Day (yes, I realize that is now a month ago). He thought that if we tied rope from his door to the stairs that he would trip and we could catch him. Josh was intent that we had to have his bedroom door open just a little bit so that he would be able to hear when the leprechaun was caught before he could run away. Needless to say he was beside himself when we didn't catch him and therefore no gold and no video game system. So he searched the house and garage looking for him to no avail. Though the leprechaun did leave him some shamrock notes and Skittles (one of Josh's favorite candies). He has now enlisted his Grandma and Grandpa Snow to find a leprechaun and pot of gold for him on their upcoming trip to Ireland. So, there is still hope for a determined 6 year old boy.

What a great idea! What about the Easter Bunny, any trap ideas for that bountious fellow?
