The Life of Ben

Here are some funny pictures of a day in the life of Ben I've taken the past couple of weeks. He is a funny boy! It is hard to entertain a 2 year old boy when we are always inside either feeding the baby or waiting while he takes a nap. Then we do get to go outside it is usually just to and from the car to pick up or drop off Josh at school. Poor kid!

Here is Ben laying down on the couch pretending to sleep. If Josh falls asleep in the car we put him down on the couch to sleep. Ben wants to do what Josh does and grabs his blankie and pretends to sleep too.

Here is Josh sleeping on the couch. All day kindergarten just wears him out sometimes.

Ben fits quite well in the empty clothes basket (it is rarely empty though). We found out that it spins quite well on the hard wood floors by twirling it with the handles.

Here is a video of Ben dancing with the American Idol McDonalds Ipod. Not as cool as Daddy's. Side note - We have the microphone that has different phrases on it. Josh learned how to say, "You're the bomb dawg." "You're going to Hollywood." and "That was kinda pitchy." (I think there is one more that I've forgotten. Oh, my funny boys!

Cute Evan @ 6 months

Here are some more cute pictures of Evan. I took these when Steve took the other boys to his volleyball game. Whenever Steve comes home and sees Evan in one of his outfits for pictures he always asks him what mommy has been doing to him again. I guess Steve thought Evan needed a shirt in these pictures. Well, I think he looks adorable. I actually caught a smile (the fifth one down) on camera finally. Of course he was moving out of the way and I just got the bottom of his face, but the smile is there. He does smile a ton and is the sweetest baby but doesn't want to share it with the camera.

Evan and the Pumpkin

I think this is difficult age to photograph Evan. He can't quite sit up yet and he refuses to smile for the camera. He is still cute as ever though.

Blue Eyes?

Here is a cute picture that I took of Evan. In his usual "chiller" state. I can't decide if he is going to have blue eyes or brown like Josh and Ben. The Familia brown eyes are pretty dominant. I don't know though cause Evan's eyes look quite blue still and he just turned 6 months this week. I can't believe his first year is now half over. I feel like I've missed something here. I swear he was just born yesterday. By the way, I can't get him to smile for the camera if my life depended on it. As soon as he sees the camera he gets all serious.

Our House

Here are some pictures of our new house (well almost ours). Or as Steve says, "Only 360 monthly payments from now ( I guess that is the practical accountant in him). We just started escrow yesterday. We close on Jan. 2. We'll be finishing up here in DC and Steve will be transferring to the LA office instead of back to Orange Country. We will be living in Valencia/Santa Clarita. So, we will be a few minutes from both our families. I am sure the boys will love living so close to their grandparents. We are really excited too! I guess buying your first home is a bid milestone, if not totally stressful. I must say, we are really blessed! We are also just excited to be back in California and be closer to family and friends. Can't wait!

Fall Leaves 2007

It is well into October and the leaves are finally changing out here. Must be because of all the warm weather we are/were having. So, this tree in our courtyard just changed to bright red. We had to get some pictures before they all fall off. We went straight from the car after school since I tend to forget things if I don't do it right then and miss the opportunity. We also got this cute video of Josh and Ben playing in the leaves. Unfortunately for Evan he never got to get in on the action with his older brothers. I guess that is his life story so far. I am sure he will get his chance very soon here.
